3-CORNERED HATS

WE’RE HERE, BUT THEY’RE COMING!

Why 3-cornered hats? Why not?! They look good traveling by land or sea, and have three corners! Three! Not a wholly equal four, or a still-lonely two, or an impossible one, but three, two to follow, and a strong, powerful leader, pointing ever forward on the path (unless you wear it backwards).

Seriously though, 3-cornered hats are great things not just because they’re great hats, but because of the time in history that they represent, a time when more people wore hats, and more importantly, when they weren’t afraid to risk life and limb riding a horse at full tilt in the dead of night without adequate street lighting or “accident forgiveness”. And why? To warn a vulnerable society that those who would deprive them of their freedom approach, and to be prepared (or flee to safety). Just as Paul Revere did on his famous midnight ride. And in all those pictures, he wore a 3-cornered hat.

Hence.
